You’ve probably heard “your brand is unclear” as feedback before — on a pitch deck, in a strategy session, from someone flipping through your website. It sounds like a design problem. It isn’t.
Unclear branding is almost always a symptom of an undecided positioning question: who is this for, and — just as important — who is it explicitly not for? Without that decision, every choice downstream (tone, offer, even the homepage headline) has nothing to check itself against.
Make the decision first. The clarity everyone’s asking for follows automatically — it was never a wording problem to begin with.
